Mushrooms inspired this set of ‘Porcini’ Lamps, bringing a series of organic shapes together to form this sustainable lighting. Created using naturally sustainable materials; Tasmanian Oak, a non-endangered timber species sourced from Australian sustainable forests finished with natural Australian beeswax, and 100% pure new wool upholstery, which is both biodegradable and renewable. The hand-crafted feel of these items reflects the elements of its nature.

Claire Wadley was 25 when she lost her fight against leukaemia, having battled the disease for seven years, and dedicating much of her time to raising money for Leukaemia Research. Fruit City is a conceptual growing map and network of all the fruit trees in public spaces in London. Logged and mapped by the Fruit City team and you. Much of the fruit we buy in the city is from far flung places like Spain, Brazil and Chile, but literally tons of fruit grows in our own city.
Fruit City is not just a Map of trees, but an initiative to wake people up to the nature on their doorstep. To re-engage folks with the wild and goodness around them and to get local community orchards planted. You’ll find an extensive list of amazing initiatives and schemes that are happening now. As well as recipes and uses for fruit that you may never had thought of. How about some Camden Cherry wine?

Scottish artist, Peter Howson has donated a never-before-seen 6×4ft painting, estimated to be worth £50,000, of Robert Burns to help fundraise towards the completion of a new museum being built in honour of Robert Burns.
The painting can be seen here, where it has been completely covered in pixels. Site visitors can purchase a block of pixels for £10 (which will go towards building the museum), and have a chance to win the painting.

One of my favourite sustainable furniture designers Tom Raffield has created this new lampshade called ‘The Hive’, with inspiration taken from our winged bee friends. The spiralling shape allows light to flood through the grain of the wood creating a unique and beautiful lighting effect.

Lucky me. I’ve been trying out Jo Wood’s ultra fresh and sexy new fragrance, Amka, which is hitting all of the right notes with its Iranian Rose and Egyptian heart with splashes of neroli, bergamot, green mandarin and orange blossom. This fragrance also ticks all of the right sustainability boxes, as not only are all the oils organic and eco-friendly, they are removed from a sustainable source. Amka contains 95% organic ingredients and 100% natural ingredients, making it safe to wear in direct sunlight, as it wont discolour the skin. Then once your finished, just pop the bottle in the recycling.
